Equine veterinary surgeon – Staffordshire/ Shropshire/Worcestershire borders

We require an enthusiastic equine vet to join our small happy team, working on the borders of Staffordshire/ Shropshire/ Worcestershire. The right person is the most important factor, so we welcome applications from recent or experienced graduates.

As we are independent there are no targets to be met or management pressure, we always put the horse first.

We have a  loyal, pleasant and varied client base and a good level of equipment, excellent support and mentoring is offered.  Mainly ambulatory, but we do have a base where we can work up lameness cases and perform gastroscopy/ dental procedures etc . We also have an excellent relationship with a local referral practice for MRI etc .

There is a possibility of some SA work at our hospital standard practice if you prefer a mix, also we do a lot of race course duty work if suitably qualified.

Rota is 1 in 4 weekends, 1 night on call a week, equine only, generally not very busy. 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays - time in lieu if  worked, (you may do 2 – 3 per year).

Salary range approx. £32 - 50,000 depending on experience,
CPD allowance.
