Registered Veterinary Nurse

The Role

Here at Kirk Vets Grantham, we are looking for a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team. The role will include supporting our team of Vets, running our nurse clinics and  theatre work.  Supporting our student nurse is also required with clinical coaching skills beneficial but not a necessity.

The hours are Mon - Fri at 40 hours but if you are looking for part time position, this can be certainly be discussed. The successful candidate will be joining a team of three other Nurses so shifts are shared out equally. Our team do their own rota so we are very flexible with appointments and needs out of work. We take the wellbeing of staff very seriously here and ensure we create as best a work/life balance as possible. The rota will also include 1:3 weekends from 8:30-12:30 but there is no out of hours.

About Us

We are a small practice based in the market town of Grantham. Grantham is a thriving market town with plenty of shops, with our local city being that of the iconic Lincoln just a short drive away. Grantham also hosts a train station with direct links to London for those shopaholics out there. 

We have all of the modern facilities including digital x-ray, in house lab and ultrasound. 

We are a team of 8 Vets with 3 of those Vets based at Grantham, 2 at any one time. We have a team of 12 Registered Veterinary Nurses in the group with 1 RVN, 1 SVN and 1 VCA based in Grantham so always plenty of hands to help. Our Clinical Director holds a cardiology certificate with another Vet undergoing a soft tissue certificate and another about to start hers in ophthalmology.

We also pride ourselves at having an excellent team of support staff including receptionists, PM and admin staff.

Applicant Requirements

The candidate will need to be a team player, helping the current team give the best service to our clients where customer service and animal care is of the most importance. We strive for best practice and are always discussing as a team how we are treating and seeing the animas under our care. The candidate must be registered as a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
