Veterinary Surgeon - Whitburn, West Lothian.

The Role

Ayrton Veterinary Hospital, Bathgate are looking for a Vet Surgeon to join their busy team on a full-time basis. Working on various caseloads from Orthopaedics, soft tissue, dental, consults, endoscopy, laparoscopy, radiology to general surgery. There are also cases in ECC work being one of the few veterinary hospitals in Scotland offering a unique opportunity for a Vet to access not just 1st opinion work, but ECC work along the way.

Rota:

Working 42 hours per week

Over 5 days

1:4 out of hours weekends

1 out of hour shift during the week

About Us

Our practice is a beautifully light, purpose designed spacious building located between the cultural and historical cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh. We have a great team of 3 Veterinary Surgeons, 4 Registered Veterinary Nurses and 2 Animal Care Assistants. We are a training practice where our Registered Veterinary nurses are fully utilised with Animal Care Assistant support. We are well equipped with Digital X-ray, the latest laboratory equipment and Sevoflurane & Humphrey ADE anaesthesia.

Applicant Requirements

Must be a qualified Vet Surgeon and on the RCVS register. Previous experience working in a similar role is desirable, confident in providing emergency care and experience in a similar environment, further certification is encouraged and supported.

Salary

New graduates from £32,000 negotiable D.O.E

Experienced vets from £48,000 negotiable D.O.E
