The role: Joining our professional, personable team in the practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.

As qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You’ll be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working sole charge or as part of the wider team. Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you will have all the softer skills essential to working effectively, building trusting relationships with your colleagues, harnessing our one team culture. You will also display good communication skills and the desire to share your knowledge and skills by being an outstanding, positive example to others.

Skills and experience: The fantastic Parkstone (Afrivet) team include two qualified veterinary nurses, and our branch partner Graham with 24 years' experience. We are a training practice because people development is important to us and a passion for teaching in the team.

CPD is encouraged and emails of current CPD is regularly forwarded to our vets.
With this role there is partnership potential for the right candidate, with potential income of £180k to £200k in two years if you were to become a 50% partner. If a surgeon there is scope to really develop this and earn more.

We can also support Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa if you meet the criteria and are eligible to register as a veterinary surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.

Branch: Parkstone in Poole is a great area to live - close to the Jurassic coast with excellent beaches and the New Forest on the doorstep. There is opportunity for great cycling and superb water-sports and is a fantastic place to raise children. Good local schools, good homes, and a lovely village feel to the shops in Parkstone.
