The Role

Here at Station Veterinary Surgery, we are on the lookout for a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team. The candidate’s duties and responsibilities are to deliver a high standard of nursing care to all patients, to assist the veterinary surgeons with procedures and daily tasks, to liaise with clients with regards to inpatient care and carry out nursing clinics whilst maintaining a professional standard. You will also maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the practice. The candidate will be responsible to attend the adequate hours of CPD as required by the RCVS.

The role is to cover 5 days per week with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings worked on a rota basis. A weekday off will be given in lieu of working a Saturday morning. The shift length and patterns vary and can be flexible. There is no OOH.

About Us

At Stationary Veterinary Surgery, we are a fully equipped practice including theatre suite, digital X-ray, dental equipment and Ultrasound Scanning facilities. We are a well-established busy 1st opinion practice, and we are a very close knit team and take pride in our team spirit.

We currently have 3 Vets, 2 Nurses and 1 ACA team so it is important the candidate is able to work well as part of a small team but also use own their initiative. Our team are very versatile and happy to welcome new members!

Applicant Requirements

The ideal candidate should be a registered veterinary nurse with experience in small animal practice although newly qualified RVN's are welcome. You must have a degree or diploma in Veterinary Nursing with some post-graduate experience as a Veterinary Nurse in the UK and registered with the RCVS. A Clean UK driving license is required with the ability to commute to and from work independently.

Overall, we would like a Veterinary Nurse who is hard working, cares about having a good rapport with clients and staff, and is dedicated to providing a high standard of patient care.
