We have a opportunity for a registered veterinary nurse to join our team!
You will join the dedicated, professional and personable team in our Balderton practice, as a Registered Veterinary Nurse. You’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.
This is a full-time, fixed-term contract working 40 hours a week with the potential to be extended to a permanent role.
In this diverse and dynamic role, you’ll be an RCVS Registered Nurse with small animal practice experience, you put high standards of patient care first and can demonstrate how you’ve worked with empathy and demonstrated initiative when needed. You also understand not only your role but also the capabilities of PCA’s and student nurses, and are eager to help colleagues to develop their skills and knowledge.

Key accountabilities:
You will be helping a well established team in general duties such as assisting veterinary surgeons with their medical and surgical duties including monitoring of anaesthesia, assistance with handling of patients, nurse consultations, overall responsibility for nursing of in-patients under the direction of the veterinary surgeon, client care on all aspects of the work at the branch. You will also have an opportunity to take part in minor procedures if you desire.

You will be part of a rota system covering the following shifts which cover the practices opening hours of 8am-7pm.
8am-4.30pm
8.30am-5pm
9am-5.30pm
10.30am-7pm

Balderton is a spacious practice close to Newark town centre with good links to the A46. We are situated in the beautiful Nottinghamshire countryside and a short drive from both Nottingham and Lincoln cities.
We have a full range of veterinary services and facilities, including a garden and cat-friendly areas. We offer exceptional client and patient care. Our facilities include digital radiography, endoscopy and much more. As well as our in-house services at Medivet Balderton, you’ll also get access to all the services available across the entire Medivet group, which include MRI and CT.
We have a friendly and welcoming team of 2 Vets, HVN, RVNs, SVN and PCA who are all very supportive.
