Want to work with an exceptional local practice as part of Europe’s leading veterinary care provider?  Our variety of large and small animal cases within the beautiful Essex countryside makes Catley Cross a unique and exciting place to work.

With a recent expansion to our practice to accommodate our loyal and growing client base, Catley Cross is now seeking an additional small animal Vet to join our accomplished and friendly team.

The Role

Our full-time role requires working a 4-day week of 40 hours with some scheduled weekend work. We could also be open to negotiating a part time position to the right candidate.

Facilities within several buildings include separate dog and cat kennels, dental room and a spacious theatre with all the required diagnostic equipment including, endoscopes, ultrasound, diathermy and digital x-ray.

We hold a wide range of skills between us including some more advanced orthopaedic and cardiology and are a supportive close-knit bunch who really enjoy working together.

We are happy to embrace any new skills you may bring our way, or aid in development of new ones.  We encourage CPD including undertaking a certificate if that is something you would be keen to do.

The Candidate

Ideally, some experience as a small animal vet would be wonderful due to the busy nature of our days, however we are equipped to deal with less experienced candidates and are willing to help and nurture a less experienced small animal vet.

Rewards

•    5 weeks paid holiday not including bank holidays
•    5 days paid CPD leave + training support

•    Paid bereavement leave
•    £1250 CPD Allowance per annum
•    Private Medical Insurance & free flu jabs
•    VDS and BVA Membership paid

•    Discounted veterinary fees
•    Enhanced maternity, paternity, adoption, shared parental leave and surrogacy pay
•    Pension
•    Academy & Leadership courses

There is continuing opportunity for further development and experienced vets with specific interests will also be supported.

The Company

The organization of almost 50 staff include 6 accomplished small animal vets, 10 qualified nurses, plus junior nurses and kennel assistants and a team of knowledgeable receptionists and administrative staff. The large animal team consists of approximately 20 experienced equine vets, nurses and stable and yard assistants.

Within the IVC Evidensia group, we are part of Europe’s leading veterinary care provider bringing talented people together with a single purpose: healthy animals and happy owners.
