The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Veterinary Surgeon to join our team here at Wirral Vets! We are a busy first opinion 3 practice group requiring an enthusiastic new team member to join our team. We offer a high level of service to our clients including full medical workups, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries. Our full time vets work a 40 hour week over 4 days, between the hours of 8.30am and 6.30pm plus 1 in 5 Saturdays however, we are very flexible and happy to discuss other shift patterns whether that be Full or part time for the right candidate, please also note there is no out of hours work required. The salary for this role is up to £58,000 for non-certificate holders DOE (pro rata for part time) and up to £70,000 for certificate holders DOE (pro rata for full time)

About Wirral Vets
Our main site is a 4 consult room purpose built surgery with a comprehensive range of toys including our own In house lab, digital x Ray, dental X-ray, dedicated operating room, Doppler ultrasound, multiparameter anaesthetic monitor, extensive range of soft tissue and orthopaedic equipment, large operating and hydrotherapy suite. Our warm, friendly, team consists of 7 vets and 4 RVN’s plus our excellent support team and Practice Manager. We have a high proportion of insured clients allowing comprehensive work ups also enabling us to offer our clients a high level, all round, supportive service.

We have a highly experienced and stable team with our vets having 5 - 25 years’ experience in first opinion practice. The new team member will have the ability to work up and follow through their own cases, however there is plenty of support if required. We encourage both CPD and study toward a GP Certificate.
 
The Winning Candidate
We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring Veterinary Surgeon who wishes to work as part of an experienced, supportive team. Experience in first opinion small animal practice is essential plus the ability to work sole charge on occasion. Our clients and patients expect the highest possible standard of care from us which we go out our way to provide.
