Experienced Veterinary Surgeon required at Priory Vets, Bridlington, East Yorkshire
Here at Priory Vets we are looking for an experienced Vet to join our friendly, passionate 6 Vet team. This position would suit someone looking to develop their leadership skills with mentoring younger Vets and Nurses. Everyday includes consults, surgery and ECC. Caseloads include companion animals as well as some exotics and wildlife. Ideally this would be a full-time position, but we welcome experienced part times applicants as well. Within the group we have two certificate holders in surgery and exotics and would be keen for you to continue your development of personal interests, as well as offering a leadership programme.
Our main site is based within a Grade II listed character building in Bridlington's historic Old Town, close to the coast and the North York Moors. It's a beautiful rural location, with the cities of Hull, York and Leeds within easy reach. We have PSS and VNTC status. We are a busy site with 2 Vet consult rooms and 1 dedicated Nurses room. We have digital and dental X-ray, ultrasound and in house lab with Catalyst one and procyte machines.
About the Team and Culture
We are a 6 Vet team and have a good mix of experienced and younger Vets, some particular interests being surgery and exotics. We focus on Preventative Healthcare and providing a high standard of care with a personal touch at all times. Across the sites we have 8 RVNs, as well as experienced VCAs, SVNs and a dedicated Client Care Team. We are a close-knit supportive team, and pre pandemic frequently got together outside of work.
We are looking for an experienced Vet, who would be keen to develop further with studying for a certificate or looking to take on leadership duties such as mentoring and coaching. You will be confident with routine, first opinion procedures and will be joining a team who enjoy case discussions and have a fast paced and varied caseload. You will be capable of organising the workload and the team on a day-to-day basis.
You will work alongside the management team in maintaining the practice's excellent reputation, established over the last 70 years.
