Do you crave an easier pace of life? Would you like flexible working hours, guaranteed lunch breaks and surgery being an optional extra? This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing business.
The Practice
Kintra Vet began in April 2020 during the height of the COVID pandemic. Jen recognised the need for an accessible home visit service for those pet owners with mobility issues, lack of transport and those who were shielding. However, we have found that this is sustainable and improves animal welfare - we see many pets who otherwise would not have been seen by a vet, such as the more nervous or anxious animals. Offering the at home euthanasia service was especially needed for those wishing to be with their pets during their final moments.
Mobile service covering parts of South Lanarkshire
The Role
We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our mobile practice on a permanent or locum basis. Our day to day is predominantly geriatric care and euthanasia, but we also see increasing numbers of patients for preventative health care. We still see plenty of the lovely puppy and kitten cuddles and pets in good health! Pets are seen in their own homes so are often easier to examine and clients are very appreciative. We have the back up of two local practices for more complicated cases requiring diagnostics/surgery/emergencies. We are in the process of building a surgical suite to be able to do our own procedures.
Successful Candidate
Presently we work as a team of three (Jen the vet, Rosie the RVN and Lou the admin). We are close-knit and friendly bunch that values kindness, good communication and reliability over everything else. We would love to have someone join our team who is compassionate, forward thinking and has a good sense of humour.
The Package
The benefits of joining our friendly team include:
Friendly independent practice (IR35 exempt)
Sole charge with back up
No OOH
No weekends
Minimum of 2 years experience
CPD encouraged and funded
Company car provided or can use own car (mileage covered)
Flexible working arrangements - Full/time/part time/job share considered.
Working hours Mon-Fri 9-6 (hours negotiable)
Lunch breaks, plenty of coffee breaks (and biscuits)
A quiet and more relaxed pace of life
Plenty of time is given for each consult which enables you to build a good relationship with our clients and patients.
