The Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a veterinary surgeon at Saxon Vets & Framlingham Vets!

We are looking for two vets to share between out Framlingham and Saxon sites, you will have a focus in either of the below;

Surgical: you will be an experienced surgeon able to take advanced soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures, with some consulting depending on volume of surgical work.
Clinical: Keen diagnostic imaging and a very strong bias towards customer care and high clinical standards.

You will be at certificate level or keen to work towards this, we would also consider a very experienced first opinion colleague who wants to provide great service towards the end of their career.

The focus for both will be to help our existing teams provide great customer and patient care.
Full time shifts would be 40 hours across 4 days. 1:4 Saturdays recovered as TOIL the following Friday, so you get a lovely long weekend! No out of hours work required. Our rota is fixed several months in advance (unless in exceptional circumstances) and you will only work at one site per day.

Salary would be up to £60,000 depending on experience.

About Us

You will be expected to work across both of our sites which are based 6 miles apart.

We have all the usual toys including great x-ray and ultrasound facilities, separate cat and dog kennels and theatre facilities where orthopaedic work is being carried out. We strongly encourage case continuity.

We are so lucky to have an excellent support team (receptionists, nurses, etc) and the lovely profile of long-standing clients in a well-off and educated part of the Country.
Lovely countryside and very close to the sea whilst only just over one hour from London and Stansted airport

About the Team and Culture
We currently have six veterinary surgeons one who is a certificate holder on ophthalmology and one on internal medicine. Two vets with around 30 years’ experience each, another with 10 years’ experience and a new grad who has just joined us, so you can guarantee you will have a lot of support!

We currently have 4 RVN's and another 3 who will qualify this year, plus a large support team of VCA's and receptionists to make a vet’s life easy.

Company

We are a youthful and forward thinking team, our focus has always been to provide the best care to our patients and clients, in an environment that is conducive to career progression and skill development. Further to this we also have an extremely pleasant and proactive client base. We aim to invest in the best quality equipment to allow clinical staff every chance to exercise their skills.

We have a strong culture of care for one another in the team, striving to give a healthy work-life balance. To this end we do not carry out our own out of hours care, this is typically covered by local Vets-now services. We are however a busy surgery, with an interesting and varied caseload.

Our practice social groups are very active with regular dog walks and (with the easing of lockdown) social gatherings. Couple this with the beautiful surrounding countryside and interesting local towns; we feel that Saxon Vets offers an attractive, long term working proposition for a dedicated vet looking to put down roots.
