Registered Veterinary Nurse

The Role
Here at Wilton House Veterinary Centre, we are looking for an Registered Veterinary Nurse who can work as part of a team and enjoy their work. Our current Nurses run consultations daily and we like them to have a variety of case loads. Consultations include routine monitoring and medication for long term stable patients, this includes blood pressure monitoring, diabetes checks, cytopoint, zycortal and librela injections as well as all the regular nail clips and second vaccines so you get lots of puppy and kitten cuddles!As well as all the usual Registered Veterinary Nurse jobs, we are a practice who encourage our nurses to perform schedule 3 surgeries but don't worry if surgery isn't your thing, you don't have to do this. If you have an area of interest we will be keen to help you develop that.

The role will be a 4 day week working Monday-Friday between the hours of 8am-7pm and Saturdays 8.30am-1.30pm on a 1 in 5 rota with no out of hours. Relocation allowance and welcome bonus available

Wilton House is located in Guisborough which is on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Multiple beaches are close by and the vibrant city’s of Newcastle and Durham are easily accessible.Wilton House is a busy first opinion practice which has a varied caseload and plenty of interesting medical and surgical cases. Our team pride themselves on offering an exceptional care and we like to treat our patients as if they are our own. We have all the usual equipment including digital x ray, ultrasound machine, in house lab and multi parameter monitoring.We are a close knit team and more like a work family. We have 5 Vets, 4 RVN's and 3 ACA's one of which will be a SRVN next year, 6 receptionists and a Practice Manager.

Our Head Nurse is passionate about weight management and senior care. In 2020 she won pet slimmer of the year with one of our lovely patients and in 2018 she won the senior support nurse. She was also runner up for managing weight with excellence and the senior support nurse award in 2020 and 2019.

Applicant Requirements
Experience preferred but recently qualified will be considered. We are looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse however recently qualified will be considered. Our ideal candidate demonstrates excellent communication skills, clinical knowledge and experience in small animal practice, as well as the ability to work well within a team. We encourage professional development, and have the ability to support your clinical development.
