Job Details

Our Bure Valley branch is looking for a Clinical Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join the team on a salary up to £60,000 p.a depending upon experience. The practice is self-sufficient with a well-equipped lab, dental and routine x-ray and ultrasound. There is also the back-up of the Taverham Hospital when needed and for out of hours cover. The position will be ideally be full time with no out of hours although part time would be considered. The role would include continuing to build up what is already a successful practice with a focus on developing the team and the building as we continue to cater for a growing number of clients. Attendance at our regular monthly training days at Taverham Hospital will be encouraged as our three sites work closely together.

Aylsham is a lovely Market Town not far from Norwich and the North Norfolk Coast. The practice is well maintained and equipped for all routine veterinary small animal work. There are currently 2 experienced Vets working at Bure Valley and with an increasing number of clients we are looking for another member to join the team. The practice is small enough to continue to provide a very personal service to our clients.

Bure Valley Vets is backed up by the main Taverham Vets Hospital which now has a team of 30 vets. The hospital sees first opinion work but has a growing referral case load. The majority of our clinicians either have certificates or are studying for them. Others have taken administrative opportunities either as clinical leads for the branches or running our intern and EMS programs. We also run the Norwich Street Vet service from the hospital. Our ethos across all our departments has always been to work hard together to provide above exception care within a first opinion setting.

The successful applicant should be confident to perform routine consultations, neutering and ideally dental work. There may be some periods of sole charge working although there is always help available at the hospital. A passion for client care is essential as the strength of the Bure Valley team is in providing a personal and compassionate veterinary service to the local area.
