Evidensia Harstad Dyresykehus

Veterinary Surgeon required at Evidensia Harstad Dyresykehus, Harstad, Norway

The Role
Would you like to work in one of the finest veterinary hospitals in Northern Norway?

Harstad is an idyllic and picture-perfect town with a population of approximately 30,000. Located by the sea and surrounded by unspoilt views of the beautiful Fjords, it is near impossible not to get swept away with the magic of Northern Norway.

Can you imagine spending your day providing high standards of clinical care with a fantastic team supporting your personal development, with incredible facilities and equipment at your disposal, followed by an evening enjoying breath-taking views of the Northern Lights? Or hiking undisturbed in some of the world’s most beautiful nature and wildlife, possibly embracing the Midnight Sun?

Evidensia Harstad Animal Hospital are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated and friendly team on a full-time basis. You would be joining a supportive and clinically strong team of three vets, one RVN, reception staff and several assistants. We offer an excellent working environment with a great work/life balance, lots of laughter and fun as well as case-continuity and support on more complicated cases.

About Us
Our working premises are well-equipped offering ultrasound, CT scanner, digital x-rays, laser, dental x-rays, blood analysis and arthroscopy devices to name a few. Our premises were recently refurbished, providing a light and inviting environment for our patients and colleagues in a central location in Harstad.

Applicant Requirements
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic team player who is interested in further developing themselves as well as the practice. The ideal candidate is driven by problem-solving and providing the best possible care to our patients, sharing their knowledge and experience with colleagues and clients alike. This is an exciting and rewarding position in an excellent working environment, suited for someone with high clinical standards and a friendly demeanour.

In return, you will get to work with clinically strong and capable vets, nurses and assistants in an exciting role with excellent facilities and equipment. We are always searching for the best, enthusiastic and clinically strong candidates, and have experience supporting candidates relocating to Norway.

We are very focused on personal development, and your development plan will be tailored to your needs, interests and requirements, providing support where needed. We have a large network of exceptional and enthusiastic veterinary professionals at our disposal, across Norway and Europe. Evidensia also offer excellent salary and benefits packages, dependent upon experience, so get in touch for more details.

As a BAME and LGBTQ+ inclusive employer, we are keen to hear from candidates from all minority and diverse groups. As a Disability Confident Employer, we are keen to hear from candidates with disabilities and long-term health conditions and would be happy to discuss any reasonable adjustments needed during the recruitment process.
