Here at Haygate we are excited to be recruiting for a  Student Veterinary Nurse to join our team.

We are looking for an individual who possesses great communication skills, is passionate about promoting exceptional animal care and enjoys working in a team environment.

This is a full time role working 40 hours per week with a mixture of early and late shifts, 4 or 5 days per week and 1 in 4 Saturdays. 

Experience and Qualifications needed:

Our ideal applicant will be reliable with a willingness to learn and to be able to work within a team. You will have been working in a Veterinary practice for 6 months or more, must have the relevant qualifications and to have not received any funding via the apprenticeship route before, however we would accept someone wishing to self-fund in these circumstances.  Please note you will need to pass a 3 month probation period prior to commencing your training.

-Five GCSEs at grade C and above (or equivalent), which must include English language, maths and a science subject.

OR

-An animal nursing assistant (ANA) or veterinary care assistant (VCA) qualification, along with functional skills level two in application of number and communication.
