New or Recent Graduate Veterinary Surgeon – Miller & Swann Veterinary Surgeons

Are you looking for a complete graduate programme, designed by experienced vets, which will fully support you in your first years in practice?

Are you looking for a graduate programme that offers you tailored support, development and CPD?

Are you looking for a programme that offers you the right support network and clinical mentoring in your practice, as well as dedicated CPD days throughout the year - CPD days that allow you to share experiences with fellow graduates, whilst also supporting you with clinical skills, business insight, wellbeing support and resilience techniques from the start?

An opportunity has arisen to join us at Miller & Swann Veterinary Surgeons in Elgin.  Elgin is a beauty spot surrounded by spectacular beaches, mountains and huge forests. It is also blessed with a microclimate that is as dry as Cornwall, so blue skies and sunshine is the norm making it the ideal place for people who love the outdoors. Just an hour away, is the Cairngorm Mountain Range which hosts two ski resorts and all the mountaineering you need! Inverness airport is just 45 min away which makes it easy to fly to your CPD but also be aware, you will have a lot of family and friends who will want to visit for a holiday every year!

Miller and Swann Veterinary Surgeons is a 5 Vet 100% small animal practice. We are supported by 4 highly experienced Nurses, a Head Nurse and fantastic support staff, who all have a high standard of care. We like to encourage anyone with veterinary specialities/interests.

We are a well-equipped practice with a top of the range endoscope and bronchoscope, digital x-ray, dental x-ray processor, cautery, orthopaedic equipment including a Fusion TTA Kit with drills and Saw.

As well as enjoying our modern facilities, well equipped practice and a busy varied caseload, you will have access to a range of benefits and our tailor made New Graduate programme offering you the right support network in practice by ensuring you have an experienced clinical mentor working alongside you in your practice. In addition, you will attend dedicated Continued Professional Development (CPD) days, supporting the development of your clinical skills and non-clinical skills, including self-leadership, teamwork, wellbeing, resilience and business, whilst also providing the opportunity for you to share experiences with fellow graduates.

This is a full time role and you will be required to participate in the on call rota.
