Our team of 7 dedicated and friendly equine vets in Morpeth, Northumberland (3 certificate holders, and 4 enrolled) are looking for an additional Vet.

The role is a mix of ambulatory work - developing relationships with clients on the road - and working up cases in the clinic supported by other vets and the nursing team. Clientele are a mixture of sport horses, some race / point-to pointers and pleasure horses. We provide veterinary cover at Newcastle and Kelso racecourses and are very active in the eventing season covering local British Eventing and FEI events.

We have regular clinical meetings, in-house CPD, morning rounds to allow time for case discussion and regular visiting medical and surgical specialists.

We strive for excellence in clinical practice and are committed to the ongoing education of vets, nurses, reception staff, students and clients. We have a modern well-equipped surgical theatre, 2 treatment rooms (1 with stocks) and 24hr onsite nursing support. Equipment includes DR x-ray units, modern scanners, gastroscope, lameness locator system, CO2 and diode laser and overground endoscopy system, advanced dentistry equipment.

This is a full time role (part time applications considered) with a 1 in 7 rota and 2 days off in lieu of a weekend on call. Giving you plenty of time to enjoy the stunning location of Northumbria with coasts, castles and the Cheviot Hills on your doorstep, and the vibrant city of Newcastle only 25mins from the surgery.
