Are you an experienced vet wanting to be more involved in the running of a practice?
Are you motivated to improve clinical standards and see your team excel?
The Veterinary Surgery in Lowestoft is in need of a senior vet for a year. We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate vet who works well in a team and is able to support and lead their team through an ethos of trust and respect. In practice and external training and full support from the Clinical Director mean this is an ideal opportunity if you are ready to take the next step towards a senior role.
The Veterinary Surgery works alongside the Veterinary Hospital in Gorleston. Our team of vets and nurses carry a range of interests and we have several certificate holders within the practice. We provide a full range of medical and surgical procedures, including orthopaedics and have a radioactive iodine unit within the Lowestoft Surgery which is ready to launch.
Whilst the senior vet position is a fixed term contract covering maternity leave, we do have a permanent position available within the Lowestoft team. Flexible working options would also be considered and this position could be worked as a secondment.
There is currently a requirement to partake in a shared out of hours day rota at The Veterinary Hospital within the MiNightVet service, for weekends and bank holiday days only.
Salary £42,000 –£62,000 dependant on experience and ensuring a £5,000 increase for the additional responsibility attributable to the role.
The role includes many other employee advantages such as company pension, enhanced holiday and maternity pay. We would love the opportunity to discuss the role with you further.
