We are seeking a friendly and supportive qualified Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team based in our 24 hour Hospital in Thirsk. This position would suit a Nurse that has experience working in a small animal practice and is now seeking a new challenge where they can develop their skillset. There will be plenty of support provided as you will work alongside an experienced Night Vet. The ideal candidate will offer the highest standards of clinical and client care.

This is a permanent role, covering an average of 28 hours a week. The shift pattern consists of 7 nights on, 14 nights off  working 8.00pm - 8.00am - weekends are included in this pattern. 

Remuneration package includes:

Salary of £25,000 per annum (7 night on 14 nights off)

Generous CPD allowance and in-house CPD available

RCVS and BVNA fees paid

Skills and experience:

You must be registered with the RCVS.

Previous experience working nights is desirable but not essential.

Our thriving practice with rustic charm is set in North Yorkshire in the market town of Thirsk. Our practice consists of 4 consult rooms, dedicated imaging suite, large operating theatre, digital X-ray room, ultrasound, a separate dental/treatment area and well-equipped prep area.

All with great shopping, including a designer outlet at York. There are plenty of cosy pubs to visit for good food and a warm fire or you could go to the Michelin starred restaurant 15 minutes down the road in Oldstead.

Every July, the Great Yorkshire Show is held near Harrogate. An iconic three-day event and one of the biggest agricultural events in the English calendar offering a fantastic day out of shopping, food, displays and much more!

There are also many museums and galleries, including the Jorvic Centre in York, a modern insight to the Viking heritage of York itself and the James Herriot museum in Thirsk for fans of the famous fictional Yorkshire vet
