Veterinary Surgeon

The Role
 An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Vet to join the team at Corner House Vets! This role would also be applicable for someone who is ready to take that next step into a leadership role as Clinical Director.

Day to day you will be consulting or performing surgeries, supporting the other vets, organising the vet rota as well as holding responsibility for clinical auditing and veterinary appraisals. You will also be involved in helping the practice manager with day to day running and problem solving.

You will need to work 45 hours over a 5-day week with shifts between 9-6 or 10-7. You will work 1:5 weekends which includes a Saturday and Sunday morning of consulting, for this you will get a day in lieu the following week.

There are no out of hours duties.
The salary range for this role is £47,000 - £52,000 depending on experience

We are a young progressive practice, with a great friendly enthusiastic team. We have dr- x-ray, dental x-ray as well as ultrasound. We have a separate dental suite, two clean operating theatres and separate imaging. Herne Bay has a great range of restaurants and a great high street, our practice is based metres from the beach too! As well as this we have good links to London and are only 20 minutes from the city of Canterbury.
 
About the Team and Culture
We are a team of 5 Veterinary Surgeons and 9 Nurses and 5 members on our support team. We have one medicine certificate holder and the vision of encouraging and supporting more certifications. We would like you to lead the team and take the practice forward, working with the practice manager closely in expansion and development.
 
Applicant Requirements
Due to the needs of the role we are seeking someone who has good, sound veterinary knowledge to be able to support other vets in the practice. Previous management experience is not essential but preferred.
