About Us

Cibyn Vets are a well-established small animal veterinary practice in Caernarfon, North Wales, offering a high standard of first opinion care. We have a great team and a fantastic, loyal client base. We often see returning clients throughout the years, meaning we get to care for our patients from puppies/kittens to seniors. We are proud to do our own OOH and care for our own inpatients overnight though it is not especially busy. Investing in our practice, patient care and team is important to us. We would therefore be really keen to support your expertise or learning goals and incorporate them into the services the practice provides. Our practice benefits from in-house blood and lab facilities for routine work, ultrasound, x-ray / dental x-ray and endoscopy facilities. We also have an associated ophthalmology referral department.

We are situated in the beautiful area of Snowdonia, North Wales. We are well located for those who enjoy the more rural side of life, with plenty of countryside and hill walk areas, beaches and lakes for wild swimming.

We really do value our team here at Cibyn Vets and all their hard work. We pull together and support each other in the harder times and really are more like a family than co-workers. We are a team of consisting of 8 Vets, 5 RVN's and 3 SVN's. We also have an Ophthalmology team who run the Snowdonia Eye Vets referral centre onsite.

Cibyn Veterinary Clinic, based in Caernarfon, Gwynedd, is a North Wales vets clinic established since 1978, moving to our current custom built surgery in 1997.

Since 2014 we have been taken over by Independent Vet Care, enabling us to take advantage of the positives of the bigger companies but still run as an independent practice.

We have ten highly qualified vets and 8 qualified nurses who uphold high nursing standards for our hospitalized cases. We take an on-going approach to professional development and all members of staff regularly attend training courses.

We have clients from all areas of Gwynedd, including Caernarfon, Bangor and Pwllheli - and further afield from Anglesey - and we are very well equipped to cope with a large mixture of cases.

Our aim is to work with our clients to provide our patients with as long, healthy and active a life as possible.
