A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to come and work in our friendly and well established practice, Medivet Horncastle.

The successful candidate will work between the Horncastle and Coningsby branches with the potential to progress in to a Head Veterinary Nurse role in the future at our Coningsby branch. The Coningsby branch has recently opened after moving to a new site therefore it has had a full refurbishment and new branding. You will work 2-3 days per week at the Coningsby site initially.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 40 hours a week and 1 in 4 weekends.

You will be helping a well established team with general duties such as assisting veterinary surgeons with their medical and surgical duties including monitoring of anaesthesia, assistance with handling of patients, nurse consultations, overall responsibility for nursing of in-patients under the direction of the veterinary surgeon, client care on all aspects of the work at the branch. You will also have an opportunity to take part in minor procedures if you desire.

You will be part of a rota system covering the following shifts which cover the practices opening hours of 8am-7pm.
Skills and experience:
You must be a Registered Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS and hold a clean, full driving license.
Clinical coaching experience will be an advantage.
The practice is situated in a lovely historic town, it is also close to the coast, Lincoln city and beautiful Lincolnshire wolds.
Horncastle has all of the usual equipment, including onsite ultrasound, digital x-ray and laboratory equipment. They have a good varied caseload of medical and surgical along with lovely longstanding clients.
