Registered Veterinary Nurse

Holly House has exciting opportunities available for Registered Veterinary Nurses to join their dedicated and capable team. Working in a busy first opinion and referral hospital covering a mix of inpatient and operating shifts on a rota basis. Responsibilities are delegated on interest but there are opportunities for clinical coaches, imaging, surgery, exotics, lab, inpatient care. Shifts 8 hours over 5 days mix of early and late shifts between the opening hours of 8 am and 9 pm. 1:4 weekends with time off in lieu given. CPD and further qualifications encouraged. Full-time position but part-time applicants encouraged to apply as will work as a job share. You will be responsible for the smooth running of the operating day and close of the practice. About Us

We are a busy first opinion and referral hospital taking referrals in ECC, Surgery, Medicine, Exotics. Exotic, Medicine, surgery and ECC cert holders. We have Endoscopy, Ultrasound, ECG, Radiography, CT, Laparoscopy. Fully species-specific wards. Night cover and out of hours brings an exciting caseload including plenty of Exotics. We have extremely high clinical standards and are always looking to improve. This role would suit candidates who want to deliver outstanding veterinary care to a range of species. 10 mins from the fantastic city of Leeds, York and Harrogate also within easy reach and very close to beautiful Yorkshire dales.

About the Team and Culture

21 vets across 3 branches. 17 RVN's, 7 SVN, 7 VCA, 18 receptionists and admin. Cert holders in Surgery, Exotics, Medicine and ECC. We are a friendly motivated, inclusive team and regularly have team events for charity (such as the recent Dragon Boat event) plus summer BBQ and Christmas Party. Wellbeing is our highest priority and we have 3 wellbeing champions across the business, a Mental Health First Aider and a team coach who can offer individual and team development. We also hold regular clinical governance meetings and Schwartz Rounds as well as team and practice meetings.

Applicant Requirements

We are looking for driven RCVS registered veterinary nurses dedicated to providing high standards of veterinary care. It is essential that you are a team player, ideally someone with previous hospital/surgical experience but full training will be given to the successful candidate.
