Veterinary Surgeon - Northern Ireland

The Role

We have a great opportunity for a full time Veterinary Surgeon to join our small animal team at Millburn Veterinary Practice. Covering caseloads from dentistry, diagnostic imaging, medical workups, orthopaedics and even some equine work ​if you are interested – this is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to gain some experience in equine as well as the small animal side of the business. 

Rota

Working 40 hours per week (full time) would also consider part-time and job share applications
Working 4-5 days per week would be flexible on days per week
1:4 weekend rota
OOH shared equally between all staff 

Salary

From £33,000 negotiable D.O.E.

Located on the beautiful Causeway Coast of Northern Ireland five minutes from the sandy beaches of Portstewart and Portrush
We are a friendly and enthusiastic team that prides ourselves in providing a high standard of patient and client care in all aspects of first opinion small animal practice. We have all modern facilities including digital and dental radiography, ultrasound, and a brand-new in-house lab. As well as our fabulous location we also provide free gym membership and encourage sport and outside interests.
We are a close-knit team that enjoys friendly client relationships and a busy and varied caseload. We have and experienced team of 4 veterinary surgeons and 7 nursing and reception staff. We support the local Cats Protection League and compete in the annual Waggy Races. 

Applicant Requirements

Must have small animal consulting and surgical skills, must be RCVS registered. We can consider new graduates as support will be given, CPD is encouraged, and individual interests and post graduate study supported.
