Veterinary Surgeon and Maternity Cover (Vet)

St Peter’s Vets in Hampshire are looking for 2 small animal vets to join our team.We are looking for one permanent full time vet to replace a long standing member of the team who will be retiring and another on a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.  Both roles to start in the New Year.

PRACTICE:

We are a 14 vet (FTE) small animal practice within the South Downs National Park close to the south coast and only an hour to London.  We have four branches located in Hampshire with our main hospital in the lovely market town of Petersfield. 

For both roles we ideally require a full time vet preferably with some experience for a 40 hour week over 4 days.  No overnight duties as we have our own excellent night team on site seeing our emergencies and taking care of our inpatients.  There is an equally shared rota for weekend days for which time off is given in lieu.

THE ROLE: 

We are looking for vets who enjoy the variety of general practice from a morning of boosters and chatting to clients to dealing with a wide variety of medical and surgical cases and generally getting stuck in.  Being able to work as part of a large and friendly team is essential, in return there is plenty of support and case discussion.  We offer laparoscopy, endoscopy, ultrasound, and dental x-ray.  There is scope for more of a consulting role if surgery isn’t your thing.
