The role:

We are seeking a Mobile Veterinary Surgeon to support our Welwyn Garden City Peartree and Southgate practices.

This role requires a motivated Mobile Veterinary Surgeon with the desire to practice veterinary medicine to the highest standard. You will be confident working as part of a team, with the ability to make sound clinical judgement if required to work sole charge. A degree of flexibility is needed as there will be travel involved to different practices.

This role works to a 4-day week rota with 1 in 3 Saturdays. 

You will be expected to take part in the weekend, bank holiday and on-call rota's for the region. On average these work out at 2 weeks per year on-call, 2 bank holidays per year and 2-3 additional Saturdays per year.

Salary & Benefits:

Competitive salary package dependent on experience, to include:

-Basic salary £30,000 - £55,000 depending on experience

-£10,200 accommodation allowance per annum

-Vehicle or £2,500 vehicle allowance per annum

-£1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave per annum

-VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid

-5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays per annum

We can also support Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa if you meet the criteria and are eligible to register as a veterinary surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.

Medivet Welwyn Garden City Peartree is a small and friendly practice, with a good team of nurses and a great client base. A one Vet practice, free standing building that offers parking. The practice is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.

The practice is situated in a prime location with nearby amenities. The A1(M) is a short drive away from the practice and Welwyn Garden City train station a 10-minute walk away, making this area a commuter’s paradise! 

Medivet Southgate is also a small and friendly practice, with a good team of nurses and a great client base. A two vet practice, The practice is also equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. 

The practice is situated in a prime location next to the high-street and near the tube station with great links into London central. 

This position will give you exposure to a variety of cases whilst getting the opportunity to use state-of-the-art technology including orthopaedic theatre, digital x-rays, ultrasound, new dental machine, in-house laboratory and a laparoscopic surgery (at Enfield 24 Hour hospital).

The clinics feed into our 24-hour hospital in Enfield where our dedicated night team manage all out-of-hour care.
