Job Details

Medivet are a community of passionate veterinary professionals committed to providing truly exceptional care. We’re set on building something extraordinary: creating the most forward-thinking and innovative place in the veterinary industry.

We’re always looking for people who aspire to stand out in their field, and it’s this vision and enthusiasm that forms the foundation of how we work.

We provide ongoing support to our teams, both in practice, online and through our dedicated training centre. This empowers you to get the very best from our advanced equipment while being on your journey to veterinary excellence.

The role:

Are you an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse? Do you thrive on a varied caseload?

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Head Nurse in our friendly, organised and well established practice in Hucknall.

You will be responsible for managing the nursing team and will also share responsibility for inpatient care and theatre work with other nursing staff. You will be expected to support the less experienced members of the practice in order to help them to build on their knowledge and skills. This role is a perfect opportunity for an experienced RVN looking to take the next step in their career.

This is a permanent, full-time role working 40 hours a week with 1 in 6 full weekends.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary up to £30,000 PA.
  • RCVS and VDS fees paid.
  • CPD allowance and 2 days off to train.
  • In house training.
  • 25 days paid annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Fantastic career progression opportunities.
  • Exclusive retail, days out and holiday discounts.
  • Eye care and childcare vouchers.
  • Enhanced maternity & paternity pay.
  • 24 hour access to wellbeing and employee assistance programme.
  • Long service awards.
  • 'Pet-ernity' leave - a day off to welcome a new pet into your family.

The ideal candidate will share our passion for delivering outstanding client and patient care and will enjoy working in a supportive and nurturing environment. You should possess a positive attitude and a desire to progress and expand your own knowledge and skills further.

Medivet is growing rapidly and it is an exciting time to join us - we encourage growth and development within your role and are truly committed to help our Medivet family members achieve their goals!
