Job Details

We’re a community of passionate veterinary professionals committed to providing truly exceptional care. We’re set on building something extraordinary: creating the most forward-thinking and innovative place in the veterinary industry.

We’re always looking for people who aspire to stand out in their field, and it’s this vision and enthusiasm that forms the foundation of how we work.

Our mission to deliver progressive, around the clock care means our employees have the very best equipment and treatment options available, including in-house MRI machines and state-of-the-art operating theatres.

We provide ongoing support to our teams, both in practice and through our dedicated training centre. This empowers you to get the very best from our advanced equipment while being on your journey to veterinary excellence.

The role:

We have an opportunity for a veterinary surgeon to join our professional, personable team in the Lincolnshire region, supporting our Welton, Quarrington and Washingborough in delivering exceptional care.

As well as your day to day duties within practice caring for your patients and clients, you will play a key role in leading and managing the team. You will have the drive and ambition to develop the practice client base, ensuring high standards of care are always delivered. You will be working in multi vet-teams, giving you great support and a varied caseload.

As qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You’ll be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working sole charge or as part of the wider team. Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you will have all the softer skills essential to working effectively and empathetically, such as good communication skills, mediation experience, and the ability to share knowledge and lead by being an outstanding, positive example to others.

This is a full time role working 4 days per week with 1:3 half weekends or 1:6 full weekends.

Salary package up to £65,000 PA, to include:

  • £6,600 accommodation allowance.
  • Vehicle or £2,500 vehicle allowance.
  • £1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave.

Employee Benefits:

  • VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid.
  • 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays per annum.
  • 4 weeks paid sabbatical after each 5 years of service.
  • certificate funding and support.
  • Enhanced Maternity/Paternity pay.
  • A 'pet-ernity' day - a day off to welcome a new pet to your family.
  • 24 hour access to wellbeing and employee assistance programme.
  • Employee discounts & rewards via Happi Benefits.

We can also support Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa if you meet the criteria and are eligible to register as a veterinary surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.

Medivet is growing rapidly and it is an exciting time to join us - we encourage growth and development within our roles and are truly committed to helping our Medivet family members achieve their goals.
