Boasting one of the busiest and most varied caseloads in the business, Vets Now Gateshead have an opportunity to take onboard another full time Vet Surgeon in order to provide the best possible service to our clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside out amazing team of Vets, Nurses, Animal Care Assistants and Receptionists on a mixture of private and PDSA cases.

At Vets Now we pride ourselves on the autonomy we give our Vets when handling cases just as much as we pride ourselves on the support we can provide when the situation calls for it. Gateshead has a very well-established clinical team who have a wealth of experience to draw from which is invaluable given how different each shift and each case can be. This ties into the mentorship opportunities we provide both formally as part of your development and organically as a result of working with our Senior Vets on shift.

Work/life balance is at the forefront of our people strategy

As part of our commitment to retaining the best talent on the market we will always work with our staff to find a pattern that works with for them as much as possible. Your work/life balance will take priority at Vets Now, working an average of 3 shifts a week on a typical 1-in-2 weekend rota pattern. Shifts may include:

Nights: 18:00 – 09:00

Saturdays: 12:00 – 22:00

Sundays: 09:00 – 18:00

Backshifts: 12:00 – 22:00
