Join our friendly, experienced, supportive and dedicated vet team at Spinney Vets. We provide an excellent rota which gives our colleagues a great work/life balance to explore the fabulous countryside around the historic town. Northampton is a large town with great road and rail links to both London and Birmingham within one hour. Beautiful countryside on the doorstep and the town is surrounded by pretty villages with an abundance of country parks and pleasant places for dog walking, running, hiking or cycling. There is also a wide range of pubs and restaurants in the local area too.

You will be working with our fabulous and friendly team of well-established Vets, Nurses, Customer Care team as well as our new team of Patient Care Assistants. The PCAs roles were created last year as part of our expansion which we are extremely proud of. Spinneys Vets has two branches, a large, well-equipped RCVS accredited hospital and recently expanded GP accredited surgery. We have certificate holders in Surgery and ECC and vets with special interest in Orthopaedics, Laparoscopy, Dentistry, Rabbit medicine, Ophthalmology and Dermatology. As a team we are always happy to collaborate with each other with complicated cases, or support a colleague should they want to progress more in a certain role.

The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 2 years UK experience, be confident in both general surgery and medicine with exceptional communication skills. Someone who is friendly and keen to be part of a great team. We actively encourage all of our colleagues to take CPD in their chosen area and we have lead nurses now developing the nursing roles in the team which is something we are extremely proud of. For all your hard work, we offer generous time off following in patient duties. You will be required to work 4 day weeks plus 2:8 Saturdays Inpatient care rota 1:8 weeknight, 1:8 weekend. No OOHs calls (provided by Vets Now)
