Head Veterinary Nurse

The role:

Joining our professional, personable team in the practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.

As well as your day to day duties within practice caring for your patients and clients, you will have the drive and ambition to develop the practice optimising the client and patient experience, promoting safety while training, developing and leading the entire nursing team.  

You’ll also be proactive in maintaining your own professional and clinical skills, carry out accurate and timely reporting and explore ways that we can further develop our standards.       

As a RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse, you’ll already have good knowledge of how a dynamic, practice runs efficiently and effectively. Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you’ll also take the initiative in patient welfare and have caring, thoughtful communication skills. Just as important are the leadership skills essential to enabling your team to work as one and look ahead to see how they can be even better. 

Department:

Our Twickenham clinic is in the High Street of Twickenham in the beautiful borough of Richmond upon Thames. We are incredibly lucky to have such wonderful clients who deeply care about their pets and are willing to go far and beyond for their beloved fury ones. We have a strong team consisting of two passionate and supporting nurses and two veterinary surgeons. We are now looking for a head nurse to complete our lovely team. We are able to perform most of our patients’ workups and procedures in our own clinic and the overnight hospitalisation and more advanced procedures are worked up at our 24-hour centre in Richmond, providing grate case continuity. We are committed to offer the best possible care to our patients and strive to deliver gold standard treatment.  

This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours a week and 1 in 4 weekends.

We are looking for a motivated and friendly individual with a strong passion for animal care, the successful candidate will have plenty of hands on experience with patients; you will be responsible for maintaining and overseeing all areas of the practice and the general environment to a high clinical standard following protocols.
