Goddards Pic 1 [square]Dreaming of times when gigs and sports venues reopen? We have the perfect role for you! Never stand on a packed tube coming home from Wembley, just stroll home to your flat! Exciting times at our Wembley practice, the clinic will be undergoing a complete refurbishment and we are looking for an experienced vet to be part of the change. The Wembley clinic has been on this site for several decades and has a long standing and loyal client base. Have you ever fancied running your own clinic and marking your mark in the local community, this is your opportunity! You will be supported by an experienced team, Adrian who manages the clinic, Jacky our fantastic RVN and Robert our VNA have all worked at the clinic for many years and will support you every step of the way. We are keen to help our vets develop their interests and will invest in kit that’s needed for you to move forward with your career.

The full-time role has a half day off every Wednesday and is alternate Saturdays, but we are also keen to explore a job share. There is no overnight work, but we would like you to support our hospital colleagues at our RCVS accredited tier 3 hospital in Northolt on a 1:8 Sunday day- time only rota. The Mandeville Hospital has great 24 -hr facilities including CT, an excellent ultrasound, scopes, laparoscopic equipment, and an array of specialists and provides a good environment to develop your ECC skills. The branch role is sole charge but is fully supported by the hospital team.

Goddards Pic 2Our ideal vet would have 2 years’ experience, is a good clinician who can fit into our practice culture and values and just enjoys being a great GP, a really good communicator and someone who would relish helping to advance our standards of care.

The salary is in the region of £50k depending on experience, and there is a generous £2000 CPD allowance. The Goddard Veterinary Group sees CPD as an investment in the individual, as well as for the practice, and is keen to support study for certificate qualifications. We have an excellent benefit package including increasing holiday allowance (up to 6 weeks!), BUPA private health insurance as well as cash back / refunds on many routine medical costs such as dental care, physiotherapy, optician, chiropractic fees etc, 24hr Employee Assistance Programme, generous shopping/ leisure discounts, a cycle to work scheme and more! Goddard Veterinary Group offers opportunities to all levels of talent within the veterinary industry — we care for our people as much as we do for our pets. If you are a strong team player looking to share our philosophy of practicing to the highest clinical standards and providing excellent client care, then why not get in touch? Goddard Veterinary Group was born in 1952 and since then we have grown our business across London with 44 neighbourhood practices, three 24-hour hospitals, our own nursing college and expanding contact centre.

We have a great reputation for looking after our staff; over 20% of our team have been with us 10 years or more and we are proud of our many 5-star employee reviews on Indeed. At the heart of it all, we really value our team. We have created a Colleague Forum to listen to our peers’ views and we have run many virtual Town Hall meetings throughout the pandemic giving us the opportunity to run live polls and Q & A sessions, ensuring we are making the right decisions for our people. All our senior managers are Mental Health First Aid trained and we offer Wellness Plans for all our new starters, so you know you are in good hands.

We are a forward-thinking organisation with big ambitions. We have developed our own successful contact centre to help ease reception pressure in our busy clinics and allowing us more time to chat with our clients about their needs. This year we have a big programme of refurbishments and we are continually reviewing our clinics’ equipment needs to help make them the best they can be.

The bright lights of the city are easily accessible from all our locations, giving you the opportunity to enjoy London at its fullest, whether that be a stroll in leafy parks, meeting people in buzzing bars or having a night out in Theatreland — working with Goddard Veterinary Group can open many doors, in more way than one.
