With ongoing growth and success based on an outstanding reputation and a commitment to excellence, Wear Referrals, part of Linnaeus Veterinary Limited, are looking to recruit additional RVNs to join our ever growing nursing team of over 60 qualified RVNs, Head of Nursing Services, 2 Clinical Nurse Managers, 10 Team Leaders and almost 20 patient care assistants and veterinary nursing students.

We are a multidisciplinary practice with Neurology, Orthopaedic, Soft Tissue, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Out of Hours and Rehabilitation teams. Practice facilities include a dedicated ICU ward for critical patients staffed 24 hours a day, in-house MRI & CT, 4 operating theatres, endoscopy and ultra-sound facilities and dedicated patient wards. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to develop their own expertise, working with leading surgeons and clinicians.

Your role and responsibilities

Excellent social and clinical skills are a must, as well as the ability to commit to a rolling rota including weekend and bank holiday shifts.  Previous referral nursing experience is preferred, but not essential, as we offer training and support to fully qualified RVNs joining the practice from primary care.

OOH nursing role involves nursing of referral patients across all disciplines including ICU patient care, as well as working with cover we provide for surrounding primary care practices with patient transfer care and OOH emergencies’ treatments and procedures.  Working alongside a team of 16 RVN’s and 3 PCA’s, the team including a Veterinary Surgeon, is staffed over night to fully support the patient care and procedures.
