About Us

We are a two centre practice and although this post is based at our Aberfeldy surgery there may be times when you would be required to work in Pitlochry. We are currently in the process of planning for an extension of the Aberfeldy Surgery to add a prep room and operating theatre. In Aberfeldy there is a new small animal ultrasound machine, DR digital x-ray machine and in house laboratory equipment. There is also a veterinary dermatologist locally who we use from time to time to see cases in house.

We are located in Highland Perthshire with amazing scenery, many outdoor activities and the opportunity for a great quality of life. We currently have 6 veterinary surgeons who are all working as mixed vets and take part in the on-call rota. We have 2 Veterinary Nurses - one based at each surgery. There are 4 support staff at Aberfeldy, and 3 at Pitlochry.

Applicant Requirements

Must be RCVS registered and qualified. The candidate should be able to work independently for all routine small animal work and have experience and confidence in working up cases and performing common surgical procedures. We don't have any certificate holders but are very keen to encourage anyone who has special interests.
