Clinical Director (Veterinary Surgeon)

We are seeking a Clinical Director to join and lead our experienced team here at The Barn Animal Hospital, Basingstoke.

Are you a veterinary surgeon looking to move into a role managing clinical activities within a practice?
 
As well as managing clinical activities and supporting our associates, you will be required to perform the duties of a practicing Veterinary Surgeon working to high clinical standards, leading by example and be an excellent communicator. Part of your role will be ensuring the smooth working relationships between internal teams, management, and other group practices. As Clinical Director you will be expected to understand the profit and loss account including the key factors that will affect the practices profitability including sales, staffing, stock and debt management.
 
The Barn Animal Hospital is a purpose-built, RCVS accredited animal hospital based in the town of Basingstoke. Our experienced team provides the very best healthcare, and with state-of-the-art equipment, we ensure that pets are as relaxed and as stress-free as possible. We know how important pets are to owners, so our care will enable that continuation of love and compassion for a long and healthy life.
 
Our out of hours is provided by local Vets Now clinics, we have facilities for hospitalisation and overnight care of inpatients and generally have between 4-7 per night. A nurse is in the building overnight caring for in patients and vets share the overnight duties equally. The overnight duties are generally for telephone support for the duty nurse and it is very rare that we are called into the practice overnight.
 
Hours and package

• Full-time role working 40 hours per week
• 1 in 4 Saturdays
• Day off in lieu for a working Saturday
• Competitive salary (Up to 75k depending on experience)
