Experienced Vet/Senior Veterinary Surgeon

We are looking for an additional experienced Vet to join our fabulous team.  You would be joining a team of 8 Vets 6FT/2 PT (you would make 9!). You would join a good mix of experienced and Junior Vets. We are looking for someone keen on taking the next step in their career and support their junior colleagues whilst also managing their own interesting/challenging and varied caseload.  We would happily support and encourage certificate aspirations.  We are looking for an experienced small animal GP Vet with good knowledge and experience of first opinion surgical/medical caseloads.  Confident sole charge and emergency work is advantageous.  A Bonus scheme is in place for OOH call outs as well as the following Friday off. We work a shared OOH rota of 1 in 6/1 in 7.  Weekends shared with neighbouring practice so currently 1 in 10 full weekends – could move to 1 in 14 with you.

You would work a 32-hour week 4-day week and a share of the weeknights and weekends on call on a rota basis.  This is a busy practice but is able to give time off to enjoy all that the famous Scottish Highlands has to offer. 

As a Small Animal General Practice (Tier 2) under PSS we have a full range of in-house idexx lab equipment, digital x-ray including digital dental X-ray in our dental suite, ultrasound, ECG, Video endoscopy and soon Laparoscopy.
