Head Veterinary Nurse required at Crossroads Veterinary Centre
The Role
Here at Crossroad Veterinary Centre, we are looking for a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team. The role will be flexible and that will include working 40 hours per week over 4 days. It will also include 1 in 8 Saturday morning shifts but no OOH.
The successful candidate will be managing the nursing team, rota management, stock control and ordering, managing servicing and repairs of clinical equipment and basic day to day running of the hospital.
About Us
The main surgery in High Wycombe is the primary location for this role. We are located in the picturesque Buckinghamshire, with easy links to fast trains to London and countryside alike.
This surgery is also serviced by Vets Now OOH. The 3 surgeries are staffed by a total of 9 Vets, 8 RVN’s, 4 Student Nurses, 3 PCA's, 14 Receptionists as well as 1 Administrator and 1 Practice Manager. We also have 1 certificate holder in Advanced Veterinary Practice small animal medicine and there will be regular visits from referral Orthopaedic and Cardiology Specialists.
The facilities include digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy. We have been established for almost 60 years and we pride ourselves in the continual efforts to offer the best in Veterinary Care.
We have good relations with local charities and rehoming centres. Our goal is to maintain the balance between small and personal while being technically advanced and growing.
Applicant Requirements
We are looking for a qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse with experience working as part of a nursing team and ideally having some management/leadership experience. You must be able to use initiative, multi-task and remain calm under pressure, lead by example and be approachable and friendly.
