Part-Time Veterinary Surgeon - 14-days on, 14-days off

Join our team of Mobile Veterinary Surgeons where you can work 2 weeks of the month, leaving you the other 2 weeks free to focus on other things.

As a Mobile Vet you will work in a group of clinics covering holidays, days off and CPD days. Although you will need to be comfortable working sole charge, even when you do, you will have the support of your neighbouring clinics who can provide advice and assist you with any work you are unfamiliar with.

Our 10-vet hospital team are always available to help you work up and care for complex cases and can provide diagnostic ultrasound, CT, MRI, and complex and orthopaedic surgery for your patients.

Remuneration and rota: 

You will work for 2 weeks of the month (Monday to Saturday on the first week and Monday to Friday on the second), with the following 2 weeks off. If you find you don’t have plans, you can choose to earn extra money by working additional shifts in your time off.

A generous salary starting at £30,000 per year (higher depending on experience) and company vehicle are provided. Plus CPD allowance, RCVS, VDS and BVA membership fees paid.

Skills and experience:

Applicants should have 2+ years experience and be comfortable working sole charge.

You must have excellent communication skills, competent in spays and castrates and put the pets, clients and colleagues first in every decision you take.

Branch:

In this role, you will have the chance of working in some of the clinics in our lovely Hendon region, just a short drive away from one of our most emblematic 24h centres, Medivet Hendon.

These branches include: South Harrow, Kenton, Borehamwood, Mill Hill, North Finchley, Muswell Hill, Fortis Green, Finchley, Hampstead Garden Suburb and Kingsbury. 

All feed into our 24-Hour Hendon Hospital where you will have access to state-of-the-art equipment. It houses a MRI/CT unit, treating several interesting neurology, medicine, surgical and other cases. Plus endoscopy, arthroscopy, digital x-ray, ultrasound, multi-parameter monitors, in-house bloods.

Hendon manages all out of hour care for the region with a dedicated night team! And, the group is supported by it's own pet blood bank and laboratory.
