Small Animal Vet

We are an ISFM, RCVS accredited, nurse training centre. We have a long standing team with experienced vets, some returned previous new grads and locums who've now joined the full time team. Student nurses are trained by our home-grown qualified nurses, ensuring excellent support for inpatients and surgical cases, along with nurse clinics for post-op checks, nails, puppy talks, etc.

-Case continuity is encouraged.

-15 minute appointments

-Expected kit, including dental x-ray

-Visiting specialists (TPLO, BOAS) and good local referral hospital support

-1 set day operating a week

Location

We're in a lovely market town on the Essex/Suffolk border with the water meadows across the road providing great dog walking or a run at lunchtime and  SUP/Canoeing on days off and summer evenings. Sudbury is only 45minutes from Stansted , 1 hour from the coast and 1 hour 20mins train-ride to London allowing for a great base as well as a lovely place to live.

The role

General practitioner. Happy to support a special interest or but not required. Don’t undervalue being a general practitioner!

Successful candidate

With a strong team of experienced vets we are happy to consider a less experienced colleague who we can then support and help grow, or an experienced colleague wanting to join a team providing the best and accessible care for their clients.

Package

-4 day working week. Saturday morning clinics on shared rota, then emergencies until 5pm. 2 hour Sunday morning emergency-only clinic.

-OOH: Rest of weekend and the nights covered by local provider to give better life balance.

-RCVS and VDS membership funded

-Fully funded CPD and time off

-5 weeks holiday

-Salary £35,000.00 - £65,000.00 depending on experience.
