Vet required to join our friendly and supportive practice team.

We have two well equipped surgeries, with certificate holders in both surgery and medicine providing a supportive working environment.

We have a busy Large animal department and offer good mentoring for surgery, scanning and health planning.

The Practice

We have a friendly and supportive highly qualified team with 2 well equipped surgeries. We offer a supportive environment with a good caseload and the time to work up cases in your own way. Our out of hours is quiet and is well supported by a nurse and a second on call vet who are keen to help when required.

Location
Our Whitehaven surgery is a purpose built town centre practice over two floors, and is a busy small animal surgery. Our Egremont surgery is located in the town centre and is operating in an extended grade2 listed town house with large car park. This is a busy small animal branch with the large animal side of the practice running from here.

The Role

We are looking for a veterinary surgeon with experience and enthusiasm in communicating  with clients and treating patients large and small.

Successful Candidate

Enthusiastic and willing to participate in all aspects of the daily caseload, an interest in CPD - moving to certificate level will be encouraged. Ideally experience with all species is preferred, but we can accommodate a candidate with skills or interests in any species.

The Package

CPD allowance of 4 days and £1000, more for certificate study. 20 days paid holiday plus bank holidays, additional 2 weeks unpaid leave by mutual agreement. Half day off each week, plus additional half day Friday after weekend on call. Car provided for work and private use. VDS and RCVS subs paid. Pension contribution.

Salary package which includes wages, CPD, Car, subscriptions and pension of between 35K – 45 K depending on experience of the candidate.
