Veterinary Surgeon

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team here at Easipetcare, Chatham! The role provides a varied consulting caseload that will allow the less experienced to hone their skills and will keep the experienced vet stimulated. Team work is key in our team with knowledge sharing on cases encouraged to ensure good patient outcomes. We are supported by VetCT tele-radiology as well as unlimited VetCT telemedicine support for those trickier cases.

Surgery is on a rotational basis within the team with an interesting mix of soft tissue surgery, imaging and dentistry planned for surgical days, this is supported by a long standing and experienced nursing team. We also have the tools for basic orthopaedics available for suitably experienced candidates. Time is allocated for admin on a daily basis to allow for calls etc which allows you to concentrate on your patients during consult time without the pressure of needing to squeeze admin in between. No Sundays and no after hours. Saturdays are on a rotational 1 in 3 basis. Our shifts are a combination of earlies and lates - 5 days per week. We will happily consider the 40 hours worked over 4 days with 3 days off. Salary range £33,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience.

We very much focus on our team's well-being, and we often are treated by our lovely Practice Principal who frequently provides Costa coffee and cakes for our staff.

Applicant Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a Registered Veterinary Surgeon with a great work ethic and excellent communication skills. The ability to work well in a team, have a passion for all aspects of veterinary care and a sense of humour is essential. We ask that you have a positive can do attitude and you are an active team player.
