Clinical Director required at Blake Vets, Bridgewater
We are looking for an enthusiastic forward-thinking Clinical Director to join our friendly practice Blake Vets in Bridgwater, Somerset. This is a full-time role working 38 hours per week over 4 days Monday to Friday plus inclusion on our out of hours rota which is currently 1 in 7.
The role will involve continuing to develop and maintain the success of our 3-site small animal practice. Clinical roles include those expected of a small animal clinician in general practice plus additional management roles necessary to keep a busy practice running smoothly.
We are a 3-site practice, with our main surgery at Showground Road in Bridgwater. We have two smaller surgeries - another one in Bridgwater and one in Burnham on Sea (both Bridgwater surgeries are purpose built). The main site has orthopaedic and laparoscopy equipment, Gen 11, digital and dental x-ray plus 24/7 on site nursing care. We are situated just north of Taunton on the edge of the Quantock Hills, an AONB plus within easy driving distance of Exeter, Bristol, and the north and south Devon coast.
We are a friendly team made up of 9 Veterinary Surgeons, 8 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 5 Student Veterinary Nurses and numerous support staff. We have 4 certificate holders and we do most of our work ups and surgical procedures in house.
We require an experienced veterinary surgeon, ideally with previous management and or clinical director experience. The successful candidate must be a team player, empathetic and supportive. They should also have the drive and vision to maintain and further the clinical excellence in the practice.
