Here at the Cat Clinic we are looking for an experienced feline friendly Veterinarian to join our dedicated and professional team! The role will consist of working 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday (8.30-4.30 or 10.30-6.30) with 1:3 Saturday mornings (8:30-12:30). There will be occasional sole charge, but no OOH or on call.
We are a close-knit and experienced team who promote a friendly and supportive working environment. There are monthly team meetings and annual get togethers as well as celebrated birthdays! Internal CPD and transfer of knowledge between staff members is frequently encouraged along with regular lunch and learns. The salary will be from £38,000-£52,000.
The Cat Clinic is a feline only first opinion practice located in the lovely and lively seaside town of Southsea. Less than 10 minutes’ walk to the beach and located on the high street, we offer a fantastic location and work-life balance.
The practice is fully kitted out, but we take pride especially with our digital dental x-ray, ultrasound w/ colour doppler, handheld capnograph and K-Laser.
You will be the second vet in a two vet practice with 3 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 receptionists and an ACA. Our Clinical Director has an internship certificate in anaesthesia and is a confident ultra-sonographer.
We are looking for an experienced veterinarian who is confident with sole charge and dentistry (we can teach dental radiography). Also, someone who has a desire to do a feline medicine certificate is encouraged but not required. Ultrasound experience is preferred but not essential.
Our best candidate would be a strong communicator with a positive attitude and social outlook as we are a community practice and do love a good chat around some tea and coffee in the morning. Professionalism and personal responsibility are key expectations for this role.
