Our small, independent practice is getting busier and we are looking for a small animal vet to join our team of 4 vets, 3 RVNs, 1 SVN and 1 ACA treating companion, exotic, wildlife and zoo animals.
We are based in a lovely village in Dorset, close to the Jurassic coast and surrounded by beautiful countryside, but near enough to the shops and nightspots of Bournemouth and Weymouth if that’s your cup of tea.
Your role would be predominantly working with companion animals, with full support from our two exotic medicine certificate holders if needed.
We have digital x-ray, ultrasound, a range of endoscopes, radiosurgery, cryosurgery and K laser therapy. We provide first class care for our clients with in house referrals for exotics and ophthalmology and regular visits from cardiology and orthopaedic specialists. We also have qualified paraprofessionals in physiotherapy on site.
We are an open-minded bunch and always support each other with cases, share ideas and look for new ways to improve the services we offer. We have clinical rounds each morning to update on the previous day, discuss ongoing cases and plan for the day ahead. You will have a good balance of consulting and operating time and we always find time for a coffee.
We are a small, happy team and securing the right candidate is more important than your level of experience. We have over 50 years of clinical experience within our current vet team so are well placed to support a new or recent graduate.
