The Role
We are currently looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join the My Vet team, to work across 2 of our sites based in Preston (Ashton and City Centre). This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week over 5 days with 1 in 4 weekends. These branches are consulting only and there is operating time available at our main emergency hospital based on the outskirts of Preston. There is full support available at all times. These branches run in conjunction with the RSPCA so there is also scope to develop an interest in charity work.
There is an option for no OOHs role with this role or working alongside our ECC clinicians in conjunction with Vets Now were we see a varied case load from across Lancashire. There is ample opportunity to develop your ECC skills in a mentored and supported environment. Salary £29,000 - £50,000 DOE; we would consider a part time candidate also.

Here at Myerscough vets, we have a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Vet Surgeon who is ready to take the next step in their career! Maybe you have an interest in management or running your own practice! Maybe you are ready to take on more senior duties. Well, we have the perfect role for you! You will work closely with the other 19 sites within our group but will be able to make a real impact on the practice’s future. We have a great team of 26 Veterinary Surgeons and 16 Registered Veterinary Nurses. We have certificate holders in medicine, surgery, ophthalmology, and dermatology. Our practice is well equipped with an on-site CT scanner, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, endoscopy/ bronchoscopy, 24-hour hospitalisation and tonometer. We also have an onsite rehabilitation centre.
Applicant Requirements
This role would suit either a recent graduate or an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is comfortable with sole working and all first opinion procedures. You must be an enthusiastic team player who enjoys first opinion practice. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong communication and interpersonal skills looking to further their career within a supportive and inclusive environment.

Welcome to the Myerscough Veterinary Group website. We are a friendly veterinary practice dedicated to delivering the highest level of care to the animals entrusted to us.
Our companion animal surgeries are located in Clitheroe, Padiham, Oswaldtwistle, Great Harwood, Haslingden, Bacup, Clayton Le Dale, Lostock Hall (Preston), Brierfield, the three former Footprints branches in St Annes, Lytham and Freckleton, Ashton on Ribble, Preston (with the RSPCA) and the Ilkey surgery of Regent Veterinary Practice. All surgeries offer appointments until 6pm during the week (6.30pm at St Annes and Ilkley) and our Clayton Le Dale site is open from 8am until 8pm each weekday with vet consultations until 7.30pm. We offer consultations on Saturdays at 10 branches and at Clayton Le Dale on Sundays and bank holidays.
Our own team of 19 vets provide a 24 hour emergency service and trained staff are on site at our Clayton Le Dale centre 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Many of our sites are equipped for surgery and we have four speciallly fitted vehicles which offer ambulance services for the transfer of patients between branches.
With an experienced team of farm vets based at Clitheroe, we provide veterinary support for farms in the Ribble Valley and well beyond.
