Veterinary Surgeon required White Cross Vets, St Helens

The Role

Excellent opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join the White Cross team based at our St Helens branch. You will provide high quality clinical care to all pets, along with an outstanding client experience and help to create and maintain an efficient clinic. Uphold and adhere to the White Cross Vets Principles both within the clinic and when representing White Cross Vets externally at all times.

•             4 weekdays (8:30am – 7:00pm) and a share of Saturday mornings (8:30am - 12:30pm) 40 hours in total

•             Time back in lieu for Saturday hours

•             No OOH

•             Mixture of surgery and consults each day and will be able to work with sole charge

•             Happy and confident with most aspects of general surgery, dentals and dental x-rays

Our St Helens clinic has 4 consulting rooms, one purely for our Nurses. The practice has separate cat and dog wards and is fully equipped with operating theatre, digital x-ray and dental x-ray, full in house IDEXX lab, ultrasound and multi parameter monitoring equipment.

The team at St Helens are keen on staff wellbeing and welfare with fortnightly team meetings and a wellbeing meeting every two months. The team enjoy regular group meals out, social gatherings and baking for the practice. We encourage new ideas and openly will ask all team member for opinions on decision making. We are a training practice for student nurses and enjoy teaching and helping each other grow. We have ISFM silver award. We like to hold in house CPD as much as we can and get speakers into the practice to give us updates on new products.

Applicant Requirements

We are looking for a highly motivated Veterinary Surgeon who can thrive in our high-quality practice. Confident and professional, you will be able to work with sole charge, if required. You will relate to our core principles of quality, integrity, responsibility and growth, fitting seamlessly alongside our friendly practice teams as you work with team to provide a quality experience for pet owner and pets alike.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in UK / Small Animal practice

• RCVS registered

• Strong communication skills

• Ability to work well in a team

• A passion to deliver great clinical quality and fantastic client service

• Desire and passion to care for pets as if they are your own
