Veterinary surgeon

The Role

We are looking for an experienced small animal veterinary surgeon with confidence in general surgery and medicine to join our single site practice. You will enjoy consulting and working up cases, and also value developing good client relationships. We have a great reputation locally for providing excellent care and treating our patients as if they were our own pets and we are looking for somebody with a similar approach to join our team. We offer a four day (10 hours per day) working week with a full day off each week and a 1 in 4 Saturday morning surgery. Saturday mornings finish at 1.30pm but there will be occasions where patients admitted during the morning need extra care which will mean staying later. There is no OOH. Part-time hours could be considered for the right candidate.

About Us

Eaton Vets is located in a village setting on the edge of Norwich. The surgery is purpose-built with a large reception area and 4 consulting rooms. There is a dedicated theatre; a separate diagnostics room with digital radiography, dental x-ray and ultrasound; and a large prep room with its own dental area. A window in prep allows for easy viewing directly into the cattery to help with monitoring patients and the kennels and isolation suite are nearby. We are fortunate in having a very loyal clientele who have weathered the unusual events of the last year with good humour and kindness! Norwich is a vibrant city with good links to both the countryside and the beautiful Norfolk coastline.

We are a friendly, supportive team of 5 vets, 4 RVNs, 3 SVNs, 4 receptionists and a practice manager, many of us have worked here for a long time and we have recently become an approved nurse training centre.  We have a certificate holder in small animal medicine and definitely have the varied caseload to support the qualification/s of additional certificate holders.

Applicant Requirements

We are looking for a friendly, approachable vet who is enjoys consulting and is confident with medicine and general surgery. You will enjoy being part of a team and have excellent communication skills.
