Veterinary Surgeon - Aberlour, Moray

The Role

We are looking for a mixed veterinary surgeon to join our team on a full time/part time basis at Speyside Veterinary Practice in Aberlour. Working on a diverse caseload of farm, equine and small animals. Caseloads can include some orthopaedic work, equine dentistry, vaccinations & blood sampling to name a few, should you have a preference on species that you would like to work with that can also be accommodated as we have a true mix of work (50% small animal, 30% large – though no dairy - and 20% equine).

Rota

Working 40 hours per week? (Full time role, part time hours available and flexible)

1:4 OOH rota and weekends on call

About Us

Our team consists of 7 full time vets and 3 part time, with a range in experience from new graduates to over 35 years. We also have a fantastic team of nurses and support staff, we have an equine certificate holder and small animal surgeons who undertake a lot of our own orthopaedic work at our thriving dedicated small animal surgery and a lovely loyal client base (both large and small animal). We have two sites, our mixed practice operating from Aberlour and our small animal branch in Fochabers. We have good facilities at both branches including in house haematology/biochemistry, video endoscopy and ultrasound.

Candidate Requirements

Ideally looking for an experienced mixed vet surgeon, who is confident in sole charge, must be RCVS registered. Some experience in Farm/Equine/Small Animal role previously. We strongly encourage CPD and the development of special interests and would be happy to fund advanced certification.

Salary 

From £35,000 negotiable D.O.E
