About Us
Here at Abbeymoor we are a team of 7 Veterinary Surgeons, 4 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Veterinary Nurses, 5 Receptionists, 4 Admin/Support staff and 1 Domestic. We are team dedicated to supporting CPD and are lucky enough to have a Veterinary Surgeon who carries out acupuncture, another with a Certificate in Behaviour and a Certificate in Medicine. We work hard to be part of our local community and support several charities including Cats Protection and Guide Dogs for the Blind along with raising awareness for Support Dogs, Friends of Ferals and Street Paws.

Across our two sites we have access to excellent facilities and equipment including a full operating theatre, digital x-ray, in-house laboratory, dental suite, including dental radiography, and ultrasound facilities. We have the added benefits of being able to offer clients extra services such as behavioural consults, acupuncture and dedicated nurse consults. Abbeymoor is also a RCVS accredited General Practice at Halifax Road. Our Abbey Lane branch is currently undergoing refurbishment.

Company

At Abbeymoor Veterinary Centres we offer our patients a total package of health care. We welcome pets of all shapes and sizes including mice, rabbits, ferrets, budgies, guinea pigs and chickens, as wel as cats and dogs.

Our team of Vets, Veterinary Nurses and Ancillary Staff provide a professional and friendly service in which the welfare of the pets is always uppermost. We all have pets (some more than others!) and understand the highs and lows of owning a pet - the fun but also the worry when things don't go right.

We are an approved member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Practice Standards Scheme, which means we have passed an inspection focusing on a range of areas such as hygiene, health and safety, facilities, emergency cover, laboratory facilities and staff training.

We are also able to offer training to veterinary nurses.
