A colleague is returning to their native USA which has opened the door for a full-time Veterinary Surgeon to join our 100% small animal team at Bridge Vets in Aberdeen. We are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon with experience who is comfortable with consulting and basic surgical procedures. Mentorship will be available for more advanced surgery and diagnostic investigations. The ability to work alone is required but will be a limited part of the job.

About Us
The successful applicant will be based at the Nigg and Cults branches of Bridge Vets, working alongside two senior Veterinary Surgeons with over 30 years’ experience between them. One of whom is working towards a CertAVP in dermatology, the other a CertAVP in cardiology. Additionally, we have an experienced part-time Veterinary Surgeon, who also runs our acupuncture clinic, and a full-time two-year qualified Veterinary Surgeon. We are supported by an excellent team of 4 qualified Nurses who run their own nurse clinics and are equally equipped to support the Vets with diagnostic work ups and managing emergencies. The clinical team are complemented by our superb Receptionists, Animal Care Assistants, Practice Manager and Practice Principal.

Stunning coastline perfect for swimming, surfing, kayaking, diving, sailing etc with the Cairngorms mountain range on your doorstep for the avid climbers, mountain bikers and hikers. Aberdeen is also a very metropolitan city, home to a wide range of nationalities and boasting fine dining, galleries, theatres and a calendar packed with live events.

Applicant Requirements
Applicants must be an MRCVS, have experience in small animal practice, and be comfortable with sole charge. Full UK Driving license required.

Company

We are a RCVS Small Animal General Accredited practice in Aberdeen. Having opened in September 2014, our Portlethen clinic is fully equipped with 2 consulting rooms and a preparation area with laboratory and dental equipment.

We have very spacious kennels and a cattery where your pets can be hospitalised for treatment. Our diagnostic room is home to ultrasound and advanced digital x-ray and dental x-ray.

In our theatre we use gold standard anaesthesia and surgical lighting so investigations can be performed on-site without the need for further travel.
